Thomas Frank
Thomas Frank would be a smart appointment by #THFC. His teams play good football, balancing defence with menacing attack plus set-pieces. Frank would organise Spurs, have a Plan B if needed and would improve players through his coaching and one-on-one management. Whole new level of scrutiny/pressure/expectation at Spurs to Brentford but he’s determined, thoughtful, pretty ego-free and incredibly likeable. Time in his company is insightful and entertaining. Gets on with staff, players, fans, media. But Frank would be leaving a well-run, hassle-free club in #BrentfordFC for a club that can be dysfunctional at times, that has chewed up more established managers (who’ve then go on to do well elsewhere, Conte etc), that has a tension between chairman and supporters. Big loss for Brentford if Frank leaves, even if partly softened by chunky compo, but they will doubtless appoint well. Again. Frank has to be tempted. Spurs, for all the obvious flaws, are a big draw. Stadium, training ground, some very good players and young prospects to develop and a large fanbase. Plus dear old Ange got them in the CL. Plus they have a very personable, super bright CEO in Vinai Venkatesham. The type of person you’d want to work with/for. Good luck to Frank if he goes. Genuinely likeable guy and a very good manager.
